The Midwest Equine Dental Academy is committed to training and equipping students to become professional Equine Dental Technicians whose skills in equine dental care will improve the lives of horses.

Located in the college town of Central Michigan University, Mt Pleasant, Michigan, our facilities offer a unique training environment where we pride ourselves in a small student-to-instructor ratio, using the most up-to-date facilities and tools. with a variety of horses from around the central Michigan area.

Our highly knowledgeable instructors and our hands-on apprenticeship training program will give you the skills you need to become a professional EqDT.

Many states require you to have some form of supervision from a licensed veterinarian, whether directly or indirectly,
so students are advised to seek out rules and regulations for the states where they hope to practice.

The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) has issued a “State Summary Report Authority of
veterinary technicians and other non-veterinarians to perform dental procedures” found by clicking HERE.
